How Would I Get This Hairstyle?

Hi, i'm 15 years old, and I'd like my hair like this friend of a friend:

However, I don't know how I'd ask for it at the hairdresser or what to do with it to keep it like that. Since you people of the fashion section of DS are incredibly wise in matters like this :D, can you please tell me how I'd get that haircut (I currently have medium length light brown wavy hair) as well as how I'd maintain it.

Kind Regards.

Cabledude. :)

Print out that picture or find the hairstyle on t'internet and take it to the hairdressers. Honestly, a picture is far better way of saying what you want. Theres no confusion that way.

Definitely take the picture. As you said you have wavy hair, you'd need straight hair for that look. Are you happy enough straightening it? Maybe a style that works with your wavy hair would be good.

Be aware with that style that the hair doesn't automatically drift that way. If you move your head much or get caught in any kind of breeze, you'll end up with a curtains 'do, with a centre parting. It's a high maintenance style.

Tips for that hair (basic outline):

    Grow it out
    Straighten it regularly
    alot of hairspray..

if you can pull it off then it's all worth it, you will begin to find out after a month or so :)

From what I know of the person who's photo it is, he always has his hair immaculately like that :D He must use a heck of a lot of hairspray. :D

But thanks all for the replies and Ill see what I can do, when I get it done in a bit, ill report back with a photo.

I asked the guy himself on MSN, it was a bit awkward :D

But he said basically it takes him a while, but he thinks its great and that I should have it like it.

I don't know whether this picture is better:

This hairdo will go down in history with the huge perm and the mullet. It looks like Lego hair!

So many of my students have this hairstyle and I have to wonder how they can afford to keep cutting it.

I never had either, mullets aren't the best look on girls.

You do what you want with it, it'll give you something to laugh about it ten years time. You just said you got a different hairdo anyway.
