Is the TVS area(now Meridian or ITV Meridian) in the 80's it sometimes had a phone in vote, to vote for the film you wanted to be shown. The showed Battlestar Galactica(basically a telemovie of the original series) one time.

Other shows I remember late at night are Sledgehammer(great and never got the recognition it deserved), Police Squad, Hooperman, Renegade(now getting re-shown on CBS Action), The New Avengers and Jake and the Fatman.

I think I vaguely (sp) do. Would that be from the same era as Dharma & Greg? My guilty late night shows were The Mint and Glitterball. Wasn't so keen on Make Your Play but would watch it just for Alex Kramer :o I never participated but some of the presenters & daft callers were funny.

Prisoner: Cell Block H. ITV started showing it late night in 1987, the year after it finished in Australia. True cult viewing. :D

Brilliant series which I'm currently watching again. In the TSW region it originally started at 10.40pm but got later ending up around midnight.

I can remember Tyne Tees having some oddities such as Spandex Planet, which was heavy metal videos, and Budo San, a martial arts show. Going a bit further back, they used to have their Fear On Friday season of British horror films. It did seem in the eighties and nineties, television after 10.30 was really diverse and interesting.
