I also think it's for a wind up. Like the fact janine has gone blond again. Hopefully this will signal a return to form for the character. I really liked her character the last time she hit the bottle of peroxide.

BK really needs to do something about Janine - time is running out. Her character is just so hollow compared to what it was. Her return has been nothing short of a disaster in terms of characterisation. There just isn't anything unique to her - she has become a cardboard cut out of a bitch. Oh this is what a bitch would do so let's have Janine do it.

I completely agree. Most of the time since her return they have just given her 'bitchy' things to do, and not actually given her much which furthers the characterisation of Janine. A character who was once an iconic, central part of the show is now just a bit-part who is thrown into a story to basically act 'bitchy'.

Precisely. Janine never just used to be a bitch. She was so much more and her "bitch" qualities were part of her character: rejected by father, wanting love, trying to survive, reacting against others. Typical unloved brat. Now, all she is is a bitch. There is nothing else to her. She might as well be any bitch character. There is nothing Janine about Janine. The character has been ruined.
