The Youtube app is dire,in appearence and function.
Removed all saved favourites
Can't add new favourites without creating an account or signing in an existing account.

The old YouTube app was pretty poor though.

What App are you using , I'm using Jasmine , seems fine .

Indeed, although it did have 2 redeeming qualities; you could bookmark videos without needing a YouTube / Google account and it didn't show adverts.

After using it for a month or so, it has most defintely improved my battery life.

Yeah, I've noticed that the battery life on my 4S and my iPad 3 has improved with iOS6.
