Central lobe? I suspect these people were selected because they have no knowledge of neuroanatomy.

Even people who watch The One Show know about the placebo effect. What IQ range is Derren aiming for these days? FFS.

This is interesting so far... it's certainly more plausible in terms of whether the 'victims' are real or not.

Wow I must be really gullible cos I'd totally believe Derron would make a documentary about something that interested him.

I can imagine me jokingly saying oh yeah is this a trick but I'd totally believe all the stuff being fed. To these guys.

I would say that the vast majority of people have no knowledge of neuroanatomy.

I wonder if one of the side effects is turning into a Zombie in part 3?

LOL @ people bickering about what the show may or may not be before it even started.

Looks interesting - much better than the zombie nonsense.

So these 4 individuals go home and get on the computer to check out Cicero, and Rumydin and find absolutely nothing about it, despite it supposedly being a large multi-national corporation. We all know this is what people do nowadays, so when you don't discover anything, immediately alarm bells are going to be ringing big time.

I do quite agree with you on this point. I would have thought that people who are Derren fans would generally be the type of people who'd be well aware of the placebo effect.

That said, it's still interesting to watch (so far). I've often wondered how susceptible I'd be to experiencing a placebo effect in similar circumstances.

    Including Mr. Brown.

Well Nicholas isn't going to confront Derren about his suspicions!

It actually isn't, most people should know about the Placebo effect.

I know about the placebo effect. It's GCSE science! Still, I'm liking this.

Ok this guy made an instant about turn and his confidence has surged just like that without even any carrying any self doubt. Power of placebo is strong, but would it change you from a wimp with serious self esteem issues to a hard man breaking up fights and not fearing confrontation at all? Hmmm.

No that is compulsory in Gillingham!

If you are found without a can of Special Brew the fines are massive!
