Ah, another brit sitcom hurls itself suicidally at the big screen. Almost without exception the results are dire. Yet still they insist..

They should be pelted with eggs at the Baftas or something.

Boo to your cynicism. The Keith Lemon movie was a BAFTA in the making.

Apparently the first On the Buses film was a big hit in 1971.

The Inbetweeners Movie was quite comedic too.

Not a fan of Mrs Brown's Boys so don't have an opinion on this.

    Yes, it was.

    And it was dreadful.

It was a great film and I look forward to the sequel :)

So, where will the Mrs brown's clan go on holiday in the film?

that's the standard plot for a sit com spin off film. Even Porridge sort of managed it!

Quite right, Mr Clay. The exception is The Inbetweeners;-)

I'm guessing Greece or Spain. Very cheap to shoot there.

Let's face it, this is just a desperate attempt to cash in on the temporary, inexplicable popularity of a sad drag act that was out of date in 1975.

The trailer looks okay... I must admit it's good to see Agnes on the often-mentioned market stall.

The sitcom is a guilty pleasure of mine but that cheap cash-in of a film will surely be a stinker! What next, Miranda The Movie?

You joke, but I can see it happening. I can see me not going to see it too!

Yes it is a well known fact that it was the biggest grossing film of 1971 and even beat Diamonds Are Forever at the box office. I remember going to see On The Buses. People were queuing round the block to get in.

I can actually see Mrs Browns Boys being a huge hit this summer and beating big hollywood blockbusters like Spiderman, X Men and Godzilla. Personally I am not a fan of the show. I cant bear that stupid voice. I cant put up with it for half an hour so 90 minutes of it would drive me insane!

I'm a huge fan of the series, but even I am approaching the movie with a degree of trepidation. Think I'll skip the cinema and wait for the blu ray release.

Must also be mentioned that this isn't the first time Agnes as a character has been on the big screen.

Good point. And how will they do the not-at-all fake messing up bits?
