    - A triple bypass heart operation at 18 months old
    - A few near misses at almost getting run over thanks to idiot drivers who shouldn't be on the road
    - Almost going to London the day a nail bomb went off right where I might have been (I had to go a different day in the end, luckily)
    - Nearly getting strangled by a local thug child when younger
    - Having a nervous breakdown in my teens
    - Very dangerous suicidal thoughts at various points in my life

Those are the ones that stick out the most.

Flamin' nora, there's some right hardasses here who make Keith Richards look like the pussy that he is. Well done!

Mine is rather pathetic in comparison:

    Peritonitis
    Resulting septacemia
    A 3-day coma
    2 major heartbreaks
    Having £25k stolen from me
Major internal bleeding in my right arm after breaking a bone
    A broken leg
    Broken elbows/wrists/coccyx

The rest is just pathetic manflu type stuff

So you brave people have suffered hardship, injury, illness, war, famine and the reign of Margaret Thatcher - but tonight comes your biggest challenge, something so terrible it can hardly be put into words...

    ...seven hours of Terry Wogan

Did that for the first 18 years of my life then headed south in search of my fortune. 25 years later, I'm still looking.
