The Wii U version may well be worth waiting for. The Gamepad is being used for a number of interesting features that will be absent from other versions.
As well as off-TV play, the touchscreen can be used as a map, rear view mirror, telemetary display, replicating wheel buttons, menu navigation and pit crew management, as well as taking a photo for your profile and acting as a motion controller.
I've noticed that with the updates made over the past few months a lot more of the PC Sim guys (Who shunned it originally) are starting to cover it more & its been getting a decent level of praise from them.
I am waiting for the Wii U version or nothing at all.
I am also convinced that publishers are holding back titles for the Wii U, anticipating some kind of extortion payment.
Rather than fuel any conspiracy theories, I'd suggest it's more likely that in order to make sure they hit their November deadline, they are postponing the Wii U version as they concentrate on the versions that will sell the most copies - and then come back to Wii U when the pressure is off.
I can tell you first hand that is not true. WiiU is just a pain in the arse platform to dev for.
Additionally, PC, PS4 and Xbox One share a lot of technology so I guess it would make sense to develop those together.
And, although I done condone the practise, the existence of (relatively) hefty HDDs in those 3 platforms means major day one patching can be used to hit that deadline, something not necessarily possible on Wii U.
Absolutely amazing that only Nintendo can sell any software on it.
Like a league and an market all on their own.
It's a pain because Nintendo put their own contrived rules devs have to play by to publish on it. They think they are bigger and more powerful than they are now, very arrogant. So devs don't put up with it because isn't much to gain anyway.
Official statement from the publisher re: the Wii U delay.
“We’re committed to delivering an exceptional and unique experience for racing fans on Wii U and for this we kindly ask our devoted and passionate Nintendo fans for a little more time in order to ensure the game delivers on our vision of being the most authentic, beautiful, and technically-advanced racing game on any platform.”
I know comparing Forza to PC is a little unfair (different aims) but the track list for this grabs me far more...
I do really like the look of this game and I think I will probably get it when released.
I just think it's a shame that there so little being reported about this great souding game.

Some bad news...... The Wii U version won't be out until 2015.
