Favourite female-fronted metal bands/songs?

Its something I really got into this year. I guess some of the bands I listen to probably dip into alt-rock as well; I'm not too sure on the distinctions these days.
I like symphonic metal a lot and also generally rock/metal ballads. Some of my favourites are Hydria, Visions of Atlantis, Elysion and Echoes of Eternity.
How about you?
(And yes, I got into female-metal from Evanescence originally, haha)

I'd say albums rather than songs - The Gathering (Mandylion) is one of my favourite albums.
Also;
Lacuna Coil - Comalies
Nightwish - Oceanborn
Within Temptation - The Silent Force
Theatre of Tragedy - Aégis
Edenbridge - Shine
Evanescence - Fallen
Tristania - Beyond The Veil
Kidneythieves - Zerospace
Also all albums by Mortal Love and The Sins of Thy Beloved
A couple of those probably aren't strictly female fronted, but they are metal bands with prominent female singers so, good enough.
Would have to mention After Forever too, as well as Sirenia and Therion, who often use female singers, even though they aren't female fronted.
They have 2 good studio albums and also 2 cover EPs which are very good. Lzzy Hale seems to be able to lend her voice to all sorts of rock tracks

Enjoy!

Nice list and great album picks too! The ones in bold are some of my favourite albums. I would probably pick 'Unleashed Memories' and 'Mother Earth' for Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation personally, but I might be alone there!

Also now remembered Tobey Torres from Snake River Conspiracy
Such a tune.
I wouldn't class Skunk Anansie as metal :S
You picked probably my other faves from that list It always seems like nobody has heard of The Gathering, so it's always surprising to see someone else liking them too. They're so underrated, especially that album, it's a classic in the genre for me.
I can see the argument for Unleashed Memories, but not Mother Earth. Of course, it's all just opinion though. I do really love the song Mother Earth though, I think it's one of their best, also love the song 'The Dance', which I think is from an EP, but most of my other favourite songs by them are on The Silent Force, so I'd pick that over Mother Earth.
I just find personally female voices in metal...not exactly less emotional than male, but I think easier to listen to rather than having to be in the right mood. A lot of male metal voices are very all-out and everything everything everything; very deep-charged emotion, whereas with female singers I think there's more variation. Or a female vocal can pair with a male vocal nicely too.
Keep em coming if anyone has more; this isnt a thread-closing post, just my thanks for all the suggestions so far
Metal. All-female. Japanese.
DESTROSE - Maze
LACUNA COIL – announce UK co-headline tour with Motionless In White
Then we'd better include....
Babymetal - Gimme chocolate!! Sonisphere festival 5-7-14
:D:D
I have to admit Babymetal are growing on me. My first reaction when I saw Gimme Chocolate on tv was WTF but they are not that bad.
I completely avoided everything to do with them before I saw them @ Sonisphere so I could see them with an open mind.
The really clever thing is having a band who can seriously play behind the three girls. Live they were very heavy indeed.
I saw them live at the Opera On The Green, Shepherds Bush, many years ago, as a friends band were supporting them.
Maria Brink's screaming is just immense as shown in The Gun Show, they're more metalcore, alt-metal though but give them a listen The Blood album is mental! (Video wise)
