Yes - Carrie is annoying when she disobeys orders but it's very effective as you really feel the tension building when she's about to ruin an operation.
I hate that I feel this way but I'm slightly disappointed with this season. Last season I was rooting for Carrie and it was such a great feeling when the rest found out about Brody and realised she was right. However, this season I don't really care for Carrie. I don't trust her judgement anymore and can't tell whether she cares more about protecting Brody than stopping Nazir. Perhaps that's what the writers intended, not knowing whether Carrie's feelings for Brody are real or fake. I personally believe her feelings are genuine though, and I don't really like that. I hope that I am wrong but her reactions do seem to suggest that she does love Brody. I've read elsewhere people seem to really like their relationship but I have to say I really dislike it and find myself becoming more interested in the other characters than the central two now. I'm really liking Quinn and I loved Saul and Eileen's scenes in the last episode.
I'm not particularly fond of Brody either. I'm kinda hoping that this season finishes his story and that he doesn't walk free from this I care about his family but not really for him.
Still, I'm interested to see where the story is headed so I'll continue to watch and I don't want to give up on it. Hopefully it manages to recapture the quality of season one for me.
This season could be the undoing of the show. If that's the way the secret service are happy to be portrayed, then what hope is there for us all. If all else fails let the lady f*.ck the suspect and everything will come up roses.
Don't believe agency would be so limited with such a big attack being planned and knowing they are so close and that a known, what did Quinn call her, a type 5, can be left to disobey instruction and risk destroying the cookie plan.
The signs are that she is out of control has questionable emotions and would be replaced. The dramatic licence and her always being right is too much and her acting is not in my view all that.
Shame really as season 1 was on the edge week in week out.
Predicable ending to an above average episode.
How the most wants terrorist in the world got into USA by shaving his beard off is fair question as facial recognition would still identify him. I guess like Clark Kent his glasses do wonders
There is hardly any adverts on 4OD so I have to wonder if the rating have dipped slightly.

Bah. That's the great premise - they're all reliant on a shaky double agent and a brilliant yet mentally unstable women, both of whom are at it. Every time they try to shut it down, Carrie delivers the goods, putting them in the ever increasing bind. It may not be the most realistic premise in the world, but it's a) very well done and b) fabulously entertaining.
Really, from season one episode one it's sort of built on sand - it's not a realistic portrayal. It is fundamentally wildly fantastical, but the execution elevates it to something great.
So - it was Nazir, right? I hate big revelations when everyone just goes - "who? huh? What did he say? Who was it? Huh????!!!"
Incidentally - major kudos to the daughter in that ep, she was awesome.

He would've needed to dump the glasses, perhaps get coloured contact lenses like how Carrie did when she was in Lebanon, a wig would've been a good idea; maybe he didn't come on a commercial plane though, maybe a private one, but I assume that they're still subject to checks by border control on the passengers.
Who else but Nazir ?Considering the two who took Brody off.it would have to be someone they worked for .
If it had been someone in the CIA they'd have had to kill him after whatever plan they have for him surely.
Anyway I think Carrie is being portrayed as the impulsive hyper person that she is , so yes she would continually disobey.
In reality a bi polar sufferer would not be allowed to continue working for the CIA... it's just in Homeland that one keeps getting away with it. I can only say that Saul has amazing patience and faith in her.
Brody looks to be crumbling in every situation , an example him sitting on the floor before Carrie led him out of the house. DL a master at facial expressions throughout that episode. At the moment Carrie's being everything in one woman to him.
Perhaps the most telling piece of dialogue in the whole episode came with Brody lying on the bed, mid sulk, exhaling as he said "at least then, I could stop lying to everybody".
Surprised, Carrie or someone listening back at HQ, didn't pick up on that little linguistic twist.
I'd be wanting to know who he meant by "everybody"....maybe they all just got distracted by the heavy petting!
Oh no I'd recorded it but it must have ran on, can someone fill me in on the end please?! I saw up until Brody going in the helicopter & then it shot to Dana telling Jess the daughter whose Mother had been killed in the H & R had been paid off, then it stopped! Thanks
Taking Brodie off like that was probably just for the benefit of the CIA following up on my theory of Brodie being a triple agent and he's really still working for Nazir.
Or maybe someone higher in the security services planted him in Iraq in the first place to flush out the mole in the CIA so he's actually a quadruple agent..........
That was just about the end, Broody get's dragged out the helicopter and out of the shadows comes (that son of a bitch) Abu Nazir saying ah Nick-o-las.
As for Carrie we don't know probably still in the field picking corn on the cob when Estes specifically told her to pick runner beans.

EDIT::
But she did well.. considering. I think she is mostly in controll, she did not mess it up like in the Hotel mission
Maybe he should offer her brownie points if she listens to him...

I was expecting it to be Estes.
Nazir appearing wasn't a twist. I have no idea how it could've been portrayed as a twist.
If you're thinking straight, then I suppose it would be a bad move.
Me too, or at least 'the mole' whoever that is.
I really hope they don't torture Brodie, I don't want to watch that again
I am guessing they'll want him to do some terrorist atrocity to prove himself and if he refuses they'll threaten his family.
I'm having to really be strict with myself not to look at the US thread for spoilers, I really want to know what happens next!!!

I thought it was Nazir before he appeared.

Hopefully not together
For some reason I thought Nazir said Leggg...o...las at the end. Cue Orlando Bloom as an Al Qaeda arrow shooting assassin
That would be an absolutely brilliant twist. He's been working for the elves all along!
That would've been awesome Just get Quinn in a blonde wig and it will do

Or ,,,,,,,:eek::eek:

Thanks very much!
