on the Micheal Buble documentary tonight, there was a section of it where he was backstage with the x factor contestants before he appeared on the show, and then they interviewed a few of them.

A member of One Direction was in awe of Buble because he didnt hold his microphone right up to his mouth like they have all been told to do...

    what he also said was MB holds it far away and he can get the power in his voice unlike them
    i think he just meant if they did that their voices wouldnt carry like MB's

    which is part of my point .. they have no strength in their vocals... and the other part being, the microphone covers their mouth to disguise the miming when they do get their timing wrong.. lol..

    Watch his performance closely... he does slip up when miming, honest ;)
