When I first started watching Eastenders my favourite character was a toss up between Johnny Allen who I found to be an incredibly cool bad guy, and, this is tough to admit out loud but the much maligned on here Alfie Moon. I also really liked Jake and was gutted to see him go in the fashion he did
Saw this thread earlier thought of all our big soaps racked my brains and couldn't think of anyone. Only occurred to me now after watching neighbours for first time in ages that Paul Robinson was my fav soap character and 1st crush way back in the 80's when my p friends were all swooning over the Donovan chap
Still fancy Stefan now hmmmmmmm

Still have my vinyl 7" of 'don't it make you feel good'
I watched Neighbours since it's early days and my favourite characters were Scott and Charlene. I still love Neighbours today and cannot wait to meet Daniel.
CS - Sally Webster, Bet Lynch
ED - Kathy Bates/Merrick (as she was when I first remember her) Mrs Bates, Seth Armstrong
EE - Mary Smith, Ethel Skinner
Neighbours - Lucy Robinson (when Kylie Flinker played her), Jane Harris and Daphne Clarke
Comments
Meg in Crossroads was my first (along with Amy Turtle)
Loved Annie Walker and Ena in Corrie too!
The biggest male character in Eastenders history.
All of them sadly missed.
There was only Coronation St and Crossroads then.
My favourites were Minnie Caldwell and Stan & Hilda Ogden from Corrie and Amy Turtle from Crossroads.
CS - Hilda Ogden
Neighbours - Daphne, Scott & Charlene
