I'm still waiting for a convincing argument as to why women are victims of descrimination in computer games....

Those people could be forgiven for thinking there was, though. What with Rosenberg having told them there was. I suspect he's getting a bollocking as we speak.

Even if there was a rape scene in Tomb Raider what does that have to do with anything? It certainly wouldn't make it sexist.

The main character of Tomb Raider, who the game player is required to assume the role of, is a strong, resourceful, independant woman who is physically and mentally superior to all the supporting male characters that may appear. In many ways she's the perfect modern feminist icon.

Any rape scene would have to be portrayed from a females point of view in order for the game to make any sense.

To say a rape scene would make Tomb Raider sexist is like saying the films "The Accused" and "Thelma and Louise" are sexist and demeaning to women.

Except that the game writers were going on about how it would make the (assumed male) player want to protect her rather than be her, and all that.

I realise you don't have any idea about the history of the portrayal of women being raped for men's entertainment, or the issues with video games and Lara Croft in particular, but you don't really get to decide what's sexist, sorry!
