Police are hunting for a man who went for a swim in the crocodile-infested waters of the Mary River east of Darwin!

Lesson being don't ignore warnings telling you not to swim in Crocodile infested Rivers as this will be the likely outcome.

What a pair of idiots. Though I do question having a resort type thing near an area which is known to have plenty of crocodiles. Accident waiting to happen, surely!!

Indeed. To say an area is 'infested' by a creature implies they don't belong there, even though it's the crocs' natural home. It stinks of anthropocentrism.

Goodness me! If I was swimming in a river and subsequently found out it was infested with crocodiles, I'd get out. And I'd make it snappy.

I just hope they don't kill every croc in sight looking for him.

Why are some people so stupid?

Hope they find him and ask him what did he expect, then charge him for the rescue operation.

Indeed I call it natural selection. If u are daft or aarogant enough to think you are croc proof how far evolved are you? Sad outcome but inevitable. Call me cynical

Salt water crocs kill by dragging their prey to the bottom and drowning them, then eating parts and storing the rest away in underwater caverns. Which is probably where his remains are (if any). So I doubt they'll find anything left of him. Have they named the poor guy? :(

Maybe he was high or drunk?

I do feel sympathy. Horrible death and his family will be devastated they won't even have any remains for a funeral to help the grieving process. :(
