    Showbiz forum, so perfectly relevant.

Other people might want to discuss it, so instead of posting and having a gripe might I suggest this thread isn't for you? ;)

So when stupid woman does stupid thing, it's ok for you to start a thread on it but when stupid girl does stupid thing and someone starts a thread then you sneer and insinuate jealousy?

Would you mind telling us which subjects meet your approval for discussion then, just so we know?

    Anyway, back OT

I knew nothing about this girl before IAC and wasn't impressed with what I saw on there. I'm not sure though if she really is as thick as she acts or whether she is jumping on the 'I'm fick me, is France in London, is a carrot an animal' bandwagon that appears to ensure low rent fame.

I don't really get why someone who gained fame as an actress would be so keen to go down the z list route though rather than to continue honing their craft.

Thing is though, was she 'acting' in CS . I think she was just being herself, and l really couldn't imagine her in anything else.:(

She might not be the brightest of people (or perhaps she's just very naive), but I'm starting to wonder if she's offended anyone in the UK media. They seem to have it in for her at the moment.

Perhaps she shouldn't post these pictures on social networking sites where they can be seen by the world and his wife, then the media wouldn't 'have it in for her'.

    Just a thought. :)

Good point. Hope she isn't being 'advised' to post stuff like that by a PR company or anything.

Or maybe she's genuinely clueless about the consequences of her actions (in which case, she should be gently led away from 'the internets' before she damages what "career" she has left for good).

I think she may have a short attention span, so sees something which says skinny bikini bodies and assumes it's just about keeping in shape as the summer is coming and didn't look into what she was actually really looking at, yes, she is a bit daft, but come on it's like a witch hunt

@Scone - I agree. She's way too insignificant for this fuss. The media should stop highlighting her 'dim' and just leave her to get on with it.

She wants people to talk about her, so she does something to get people to talk about her. I don't think she's clueless in the slightest, she knows what will get her attention and plays on it. Tweet a couple of things and she's got articles on newspaper websites and topics on forums, good days work for Helen Flanagan.

I don't think she's clever enough to think like that tbh.

Wow, where did you get that from ? :)

The post from KC best sums up why stories about Helen Flanagan catch my interest. It's like the notion of a stupid young girl doing something stupid just doesn't compute - i'm not getting at KC personally at all, because I've seen it from many different posters.

It's just not possible for this thing called "stupidity" to exist apparently, so it's really a carefully thought out and crafted plan to gain exposure and column inches.

So yes, I was facetious, but for no more reason than the merry go round of conspiracy in Showbiz amuses me - nothing more.

I wish people would leave this girl alone , she is not a bad person and has a good heart really. So what if she endorses being slim , its not the crime of the century .

There are too many fat girls eating chips anyway.

Chin up Helen ignore the haters

She was on The Saturday Night Show on RTE1 last night talking about what a lovely man Michael Le Vell is. :D:eek::o

She just came across - again - as quite astonishingly stupid, spoilt and laughably delusional. She should be protected, really. She's several sandwiches, a rug, a basket, a flask and a wasp short of a picnic.

    There's a middle ground.

I agree that she's pretty much exactly as she seems, terminally dim, naive and unaware of the impact of a lot of what she says and does, and it's not put on or manufactured.

But it's how she reacts to it after the sh*t hits the fan that makes her very wearying and a bit suspect with her "OMG I never meant that OMG I would never say that OMG I am such a ditz..." yada yada yada. This is what makes people think she's loving the attention so while it's not pre-conceived as such, she does seem to relish her 'victimhood' when the criticism starts.

For that reason alone, she really should be ignored.

:D Really, that last sentence should ideally be the final word on her on this forum. :D

No argument from me there regarding ignoring her. I suppose her reactions don't set off any "alarm bells" for me in that sense though because I used to work with a woman who would arguably make Flanagan seem like a Mensa candidate.

Her whole life revolved around socialising at the pub and if the wasn't told something at the pub, she just wouldn't have had the first clue - and frequently didn't. So I certainly know first hand that people like her do exist and don't do it deliberately.

If it's anything like the way I feel, basically because the only reason this attention seeking moron's (by which I mean Helen) opinions matter is because forums like this one and papers like The Sun amplify them.

It's like when we get Katie Price's opinions on politicians. Does anyone take her opinions on such things seriously? If not, then why pay any attention at all.

We've already established these people are stupid and attention seeking, yet who are the people giving them attention for their stupidity?

    1. It's funny
    2. It makes us feel better about ourselves
    3. It's probably advisable to point out intense stupidity (think of the children)
    4. It's funny
