Yes - according to Companies House - for the year ended 31 December 2009 Kiss 101 Limited made a pre-tax loss (and losses in each of the preceding four years)
But how big a loss?
And, also, has there been any discernible change in the figures since relaunching as Kiss 101? The key thing is whether the increased networking has affected the financial situation at Baldwin Street whatsoever.
Additionally, how about 105-108 Bury St Edmund's figures, both before and after the end of Vibe?
Is there a chance that Ofcom could refuse to allow all programming sharing between Kiss 100 and Kiss 105-108, but make a concession nonetheless for Kiss 101, mindful of the financial situation?

They could reject it if ofcom are not happy with what Beuer are propsoing, but there's more chance of pigs flying than ofcom rejecting it unfortunutly:(
if you go to a dance club then you very rarely hear house.
even radio 1 does not have a four to the floor house show,
yeah thats true.....Ministry of Sound, Sankeys, Digital...rarely play four to the floor house anymore. Or perhaps they do. And Pete Tong still holds the 9-11 slot on Radio 1 on Friday's playing very much the aforementioned.

Especially as they have only had six responses - three in favour, two opposed and one who has decided to ignore the question.

No because all three stations qualify as regionals under the new Ofcom classification.
The only question that remains is whether Kiss qualifies to go national and drop all regional programming by reference to the DAB coverage threshold.
Well over 400 people on the Facebook group above, BUT how many responded to the OFCOM consultation? With a huge total of only 6 responses, clearly not many - if any at all!
According to Bauer, reach for the networked shows has grown +50% with hours growing by +35%. This compares to reach growth for the local shows of +35% with +18% growth in hours, in the same period.
It would appear that listeners to this station don't care about localness (in fact it appears to be hindering the station's growth), which is probably as you would expect on this kind of music station.
its interesting that aparently michael lewis's drive time show going out on 105-108 aparently had the highest listening figures of any of the shows going out on kiss. shame he hasn't got a decent slot he would be alot better on drive than jez.

most of the shows going out on 105-108 were infact kiss 100's. obviously jez is going to have higher listening figures because his show is going out to a higher audience.

RAJAR report for Kiss nationally as well separately for London, East of England and Severn Estuary.
I'm pretty sure that if you subscribe to RAJAR you can find out?
Breakfast on 105-108 has its highest figures too.
Why not just check the RAJAR site instead? They have figures listed seperately there.
Alternatively, Radio Today have some nice graphs.
