I thought they were all briljant - even LOL for a few of them.
Janet, I'll buy you a one-way ticket on Richard Branson's space tourist trips - you don't feel comfortable on this planet.
What a very strange thing to say. Have you ever been to an art gallery and seen and admired some of the work? Doesn't sound like it. I consider myself to be fairly well-rounded in my tastes - including the serious the art and imagination of Leonardo da Vinci, the achievements of great scientists, 'Big Bang Theory' and 'Coronation Street' - but not vandalism or Mr Forsyth - and therefore very comfortable on this planet.
And only those who don't find 'Big Bang Theory' absolutely hilarious, no matter how many times they see repeats, have no sense of humour and should be bought a one-way ticket on Richard Branson's space tourist trips and leave the planet. Give me Sheldon over Mr Forsyth any day. Shame the last episode of series 6 is next week. Still they're repeated every evening.
Not in your opinion. I happen to think so.
I never said otherwise?
Good?
No. I said the pictures are clever, in my opinion.
I bet you're fun at parties.............;)
I'm very happy to stay home and laugh out loud at things which I do find funny (defacing works of art isn't one of them) - as stated previously 'Big Bang Theory' is one of them (the other is people jumping off a bus and going face-first into a lamp post). Anyone who doesn't find 'Big Bang Theory' funny either hasn't seen it or definitely doesn't have a sense of humour. Defacing paintings isn't clever - making people laugh with clever writing is.
One thing I would say, though, is that the paintings themselves have not been defaced, that would be criminal. Only copies/photos have been used.
As for 'Big Bang Theory' - you should give it a try, E4 two episodes every evening 6pm to 7pm and an hour later on +1. No doubt someone will say that, at 70 and female, I shouldn't find it funny because it's about sex and thirty-something nerds, but that's their problem.
Of course you're entitled not to find the pictures funny. Personally I thought the person who thought them up was imaginative, but possibly has too much time on his/her hands! Did I find them funny? Not really; they certainly didn't make me laugh - I guess I really felt quite indifferent.
Thinking about it, I have seen Big Bang Theory - well, 10 minutes of it before I turned over to look for something more intelligent.............. That isn't a criticism, as we both agree, it's all a matter of taste.
Daft and funny, but darn, he's ugly! My eyes hurt now
I had a really good night's sleep in Tracy Emin's bed before it was trashed. Pity, that. But Janet is absolutely right - nail duly hit on head - the imposition of Bruce Forsyth's head on any of those works can only be described politely as sabotage.
Actually I am, but not when it is wrapped up in a load of silliness.
For me (a retired teacher of business studies, science and IT) silliness = humour.
