Single 500ml bottles of Coke and Diet coke are £1 in Sainsbury's or you can get a 2 Litre bottle for £1.69.

    Pepsi is 97p for a 600ml bottle.

Compared to other places, that is very good.

I used to make a point of buying them if they were on offer in one of the supermarkets to take to work. More recently I've made a point of re-filling a 500ml bottle with Coke from a 2 litre bottle to take to work. I'm turning into a bit of a cheap skate really :p.

5 years ago I went to Goa. A bottle in the tourist area by the beach, with service to your sunbed was 50p. We went on a tour and I saw a shop on one of the roads selling the glass bottles (275ml?) for 7.5p

I live in Sweden, and a 500ml coke cost about 27Sek in the the local shop. Thats about £2.50.

I would happily pay ~£1.18ish anyday!

The vending machine at work has them for £1, but in most places they're over £1. A friend of mine is such a cheap skate that he will buy a 2 litre bottle instead of the 500ml one and carry that around with him all day. It's quite embarrassing for him :p

£1.08 in Asda today. I was shocked at how much it's gone up

PS. Pepsi have started making 600ml bottles of coke. I've often wondered why ours are smaller!

Sorry for being petty :o but thats like saying microsoft are making Playstations.

    50p.

I buy 500ml bottles of Pepsi/Vimto for 50p each, a 1.5L bottle of Coca Cola for £1, and 330ml cans of Coca Cola, Pepsi etc., for 33p each.

Considering that soft drinks are mostly water, it is very worrying that it costs more than petrol. :(

I suggested doing this for my o.h (she likes the 500 bottles) but she declined becuse she says that it alows the coke to get too flat. Decanting it releases too much gas aparently.

I still do it sometimes for the drinks that I like because its quite a lot cheaper. The price of fizzy pop is bloody ridiculous. Its just tapwater and the cheapest form of sugar they can get thier hands on. I can't believe that the actual production cost of a 500 ml bottle is much over 10 pence.

I've recently noticed hoe expensive they've been recently, I've stopped drinking them with my lunch now except from on a few days.

    £1.20 in my Uni.
    £1.18 in my local Co-op.
£1.50 in the vending machine in the library.

I'm not paying those prices! I just drink water now.

    About £1 a bottle.

In Kenya, the hotel charged about £1.10 for a glass bottle (330ml). But the local shops charged about 40p for one, and even those I think were 'tourist prices'.
