Well, the correct answer is probably that they showed half of it.
They did show him telling Hazel he would 'nut' her and putting his hand to her throat, but they didn't show the proper build-up (seen by fans on the live feed) where he apparently ordered her inside from the garden and said he was gonna' get angry if she didn't obey him, or words/ actions to that effect.
The point being that although it came across as off-the-cuff aggressive flirting/ sexual tension to many fans (something Hazel was happy to encourage for a while), some fans saw it differently when taken in full context and considering his behaviour prior to it all happening.
