Which boots to go with blue dress?

I'm going out on Bank Holiday weekend and need help with my outfit!

The dress in question. I'm planning on wearing my Doc Martens with them, as I feel safer!

Colour options are black, patent white and cherry red.

So, my fellow beauty and fashion people, which is better?

On first sight of the dress my first thought was black boots with the dress.

    Very pretty dress :)

I'd go for black to match your dress - red or white might distract from that beautiful blue..
You wouldn't consider a nice pair of heels?
(I know, I know - I'm dead old fashioned. But such a pretty dress would be lovely with shoes!)

I'd feel to vulnerable if I wore heels. I prefer shoes and boots I can run in!

Honeychild - that dress is crying out for a nice pair of black heels...

Why do you have to be able to run in them - where are you going?

Picnic in a park in central London. But when I go home the lairy drunken masses will be out in force, so I'd just feel safer wearing something I can run in.
