Getting rid of routers etc

I seem to have collected several Homehub's and a BT Vision box that are no longer needed, all in excellent working condition, is there anywhere on the high street to sell them? I know I could use eBay but rather just take them in somewhere, failing that I will just bin them.

Why not see if a local community association or care home or a charity-type group needs them ?

I don't think you are going to get much selling them, you can pick up a basic new wireless router for £20. You could try something like gumtree.

i got a fair few here, routers I mean. My Bt homhub was dumped as no one wanted it and since Bt seems to be giving out the new ones I doubt i would have got rid of it any other way.

going to give my brother one of my netgears, it will be better than the ethernet modem her have got from the post office.

then that leaves two.

I always like to keep one...just in case it needs to be used as a temporary solution if my main router packs in.

Do you have trouble with a poor wireless signal anywhere in your property? If so...you could always convert a router to a wireless access point and use it that way. Not sure if that's possible with the HHs as I haven't had one for years, but it may be worth looking into.

The reason I got so many is because I want to keep one or two as a spare, but a ADSL router is no good to me now. I expect to see a few routers over the next few years get dumped as people go for FTTC.

i will keep one of mine as I may go back to ADSL at some point, depending if the service I am on now keeps working ok. As I said above I will give one to my brother, I can't see him going for fibre.
