Leeds surely are not higher than Newcastle though.
Jazzydrury3 did you agree with the move to Milton Keynes for Wimbledon.
Would not mind betting that Leeds has a higher audience share than quite a few teams that are in the prem league.
We all know that in the championship they pull in more viewers than most other teams and coupled with a very tasty Yorkshire Derby it was a game Sky could not resist to show.
We all know now its about viewing figures not the so called glamour of the cup.
Apologies. I hadn't realised that spectators also had to qualify to watch league football by working their way up via smaller teams. I have watched Stony Stratford FC, as well as Hucknall Town, Nuneaton Borough (when they were), and a few other non-entities. Will they do pls?
No, no, my apologies with your post I had assumed you were just a big Milton Keynes football fan rather than adopting a football league franchise, my mistake.

Leeds would not get higher viewing figures than the Toon. Also Sky always love the chance to Newcastle get beat off lower league opposition.
Quite surprised as I always thought Premier League teams got chosen. A few years ago this happened too with West Ham United v Cardiff City being shown with both in the Championship.

So on both Tue and Wed there will be a direct clash:
SS1 - League Cup
SS5 - CL play-off
But they've kept the big 2 games apart - ie:
Tue - Man Utd
Wed - Arsenal

"Quite a few" probably yes. But not Newcastle.

Have a look at their team line up on the 26th and see if any of them have played on the 24th ???
You are presupposing what a new manager will do?
Look at the team line-up for the last pre-season friendly?
If there is a large player turnover that might as likely be because of the 2 day gap.
