Isn't this theme just an excuse for ballads.

    If it's not

Walking on sunshine for OTY if we are allowed up tempo which I doubt

I'm expecting another contestant to "make this song their own" with Angus & Julia Stone's version.

These are the most cliche song choices.. The point of the show is to make them stand out

Lol, I am glad the song choices are not based on DS users decision... Otherwise we would get the most typical and cliche performances

I'd be astounded if someone didn't sing either Listen, And I Am Telling You or One Night Only from Dreamgirls. And by someone I mean either Lola or Andrea :p

I don't think anyone will sing Let It Go though, I'm sure I read something about Simon banning it from auditions so I can't imagine why he'd want anyone to sing it now.

Really hope we get some interesting varied choices but fear we will see some the usual done a thousand times over pap. Its easier to say what I DON'T want -Top of the List:

Please for the love of god no 'I don't want to miss a thing' but I can actually see Ben or Jay having this inflicted on them.

NO big movie ballads we've overdosed on hearing and performed on talent shows looking at you - I Will Always Love You, My Heart Will Go On, Everything I Do, Listen - though of course at least one of these is nailed on.

Given the fascination with it at boot camp hopefully we've had as much as we can take for '9 to 5' this year, ditto 'A Thousand Years'

Looking at Billboards Top 50 Movie songs and there's some interesting stuff

Fleur could do a perfect 'Check on it' but might be a bit of a cliched choice.

Gutted that Only The Young's 'Power of Love' choice got binned would have worked well here.

Which kitsch song will they plump for Stevi I wonder? Eye of The Tiger? Footloose?

    Some choices from me:

Lola - Crazy In Love by Emeli Sandé from The Great Gatsby (I love this arrangement of the Beyoncé song and she really needs to do something other than stand there and sing ballads! She doesn't need to do an EDM banger or anything but I'd just like to see her do some, thing a bit different)
Lauren - One Night Only by Jennifer Hudson from Dreamgirls (a mixture of the ballad version and the disco-y version)

Paul - My Girl by Temptations from My Girl
Andrea - Think by Aretha Franklin from Bridget Jones and The Edge Of Reason

Stevi - Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor from Rocky III
Ben - Me & Bobby McGee by Kris Kristofferson from Two-Lane Blacktop
Fleur - Bad Girls by M.I.A. from The Bling Ring (may be a bad choice because it's mostly rapping) or Independent Woman by Destiny's Child from Charlie's Angels

Only The Young - Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves from Look Who's Talking (seeing as Louis is gonna stick to the cheesy/fun vibe)

I'd like to see OTY do either Moon River or Rock Around the Clock.
