Walford child death rates

The Mandy/Ricky child storyline is beginning to irritate me by the fact it now seems to be a lazy of way of garnering sympathy for a character, particularly in Mandy's case. A remarkable proportion of adults in Walford have lost their children.

Max lost Bradley
Jack lost James
Carol lost lost Billie
David lost Karen
Ricky lost Kira and Natasha
Bianca lost Natasha
Mandy lost Kira
Ronnie lost Danielle and James
Michael and Kat lost Tommy - but found him again
Jane lost her womb
I won't get started on the abortions.

I'm sure there must be more than those I've mentioned.

Yes, there must be loads over the years. The first being Sue and Ali losing Hassan.

It seems to have become a popular storyline in more recent years.

    Pauline lost Mark.

Lynne and Garry lost their baby.

Jane losing her womb is sad but does it really count when stating the number of death of children?

Don't even joke about that!!
I see what you're saying but surely you could say that for every woman womb and everytime she does it and he puts something on it...another chance gone. There wasn't a child her womb at the time so I don't think it's really counts, but that's me being picky.

It was meant to be a - well lighthearted isn't really the word for it - but not serious comment to show how blase the production team seems to be about reproduction, as clearly losing a womb isn't the same as losing a child.

The Jane/Masood comment was meant purely for you. ;):p:)

    Patrick lost Paul.
    Johnny lost Scarlett.

But to be fair, a lot of those listed were adults, so it might be someone losing a son or daughter, but I would not call it a child's death. Imo, dead children are individuals who died before they reached 18, listed here are many individuals who died before their parents did.

    As for unborn children:
    Lucy had an abortion
Kat had a miscarriage, twice, once with Anthony trueman, once with Alfie.
    Zoe had an abortion.
Alfie used to be with this girl who aborted their baby.
Did vicki not abort Spencers kid?
Sharon had an abortion, causing her trouble to get pregnant later on.
Did someone not abort Lofty's child?
    Dot had an abortion.
Stacey was coerced into aborting her's and Bradley's baby.
    Danielle had an abortion.

I think the death rate of the area is quite high for all ages, children and adults!
