Some have more than one lead singer, ie
    Boyzone: Ronan and Stephen
    Westlife: Mark and Shane
Beatles: John and Paul (odd occasion George or Ringo but mainly when they had written the song)

    One one lead singer

    The Who
    The Kinks
    Gerry and the Pacemakers
    Status Quo
    Diana Ross and the Supremes
Gerogie Fame and the Blue Fames
    Queen
    Rolling Stones
    Roxette
Goo Goo Dolls, although I think it could be two lead singers

However some of these are bands not just mere groups who don't play any instruments..

In fact to put it in a nutshell HUNDREDS over the years.

I know I think this is to try and say Gary was wrong in what he said when in fact he was dead right imo.

I think it would be quicker to list groups that don't have either a lead singer or a person that is the most dominant vocalist (eg Nadine in Girls Aloud and Lee in Blue).

    Spice Girls

....yeah, that's the only one I can think of...

When they said "There is no lead singer" - was I the only one who thought......

    ...understatement of the century!

I know 2 would normally share...but the lead is normally the face and the first person you think of:

    Take That (Gary)
    Boyzone (Ronan)
    Westlife (Shane)
    Girls Aloud (Nadine)
    Spice girls (None...Brand)
    Sugababes (Hedi)
    BSB (Brian)
    NKids _Jordan)
    Blue (Lee)
    Nsync (Justin)
    Wanted (Max)
    One Direction (Harry...should be Liam)
    JLS (Aston)
    J5 (Michael)
    Osmonds (Donny)
    Destiny's child (Beyonce)

The list is endless...The strongest leads the group...Not fair...But necessary:(

Sorry not sure what you mean, I did hear what he said and thought he was spot on with his judgement and to be honest he said almost the same to the Risk and he was dead right about them as well. Very few groups/bands have 4 people all trying to sing at once, with bits broken up the way Little Mix did last night, it sounded a mess and looked a mess. Did not help on iota when the girl forgot the words either, shame after the stick Janet got that it was not picked up on by one judge.. very poor and double standards for me, and I am not as you know a Janet fan.. or fanatic.

I think the OP maybe referring to the traditional all singing groups rather than singer plus band with instruments, in which case I would say quite a few Motown groups, Supremes for eg. Smokey Robinson and the Miracles another?

Sugarbabes, Take That ( 3 leads really), Boyzone (2), WestLife (2), All Saints (3),Oasis (2)...and if you go back in time The Eagles, CSNY, Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys, The Beatles, , Mamas and Papas, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Crystals.....it's not common but it is not unusual for sharing lead vocals.

I thought Gary was bang on. Up until the last couple of weeks Perrie was being pushed forward more and taking more of a lead vocalist roll, and these were some of their best performances. This hasn't happened more recently and their performances have suffered for it.

...oh and just to keep us on topic, The Ronettes - Ronnie Spector. The Saturdays - Vanessa White.

The only time sugababes had a lead singer was when they first came out and siobhan (?) used to get the leads, they only released 4 songs though and since then they have NEVER had a lead singer! Even on this thread people have said keisha or heidi have been the lead when there never was one.

The thread is obviously a retort to Gary to back him up.

Funny how the few decent singles they've ever released had either Robbie or Mark singing lead.

    Neither have/had a lead singer.

They're all bands, not [vocal harmony] groups.
