the Eagle (???) top-right of the pic was snapped purely by chance! Didn’t even know it was there; anyone know what it is?....I assume it must be a Bald eagle but I'm no authority on birds whatsoever.
i took my camera out with me today when went to work..Lovely sun ray first thing..grabbed the camera on way to bus stop..Then took back out when walked to other works and got some random stuff
I am hopefully part exchanging my 450D this week for a better model in the next few days, so have been limiting my picture taking, once I get my new body I will be out shooting again, cannot wait
A couple of weeks back I spent an about 10 hours wandering round central London, from sunset to sunrise. It was amazing having the place pretty much to myself - no tourists, no selfie-sticks, no rabble, very little traffic too. Here are some of the highlights:

It's the kind of thing I wouldn't mind doing, but I don't think I'd last the whole 10 hours!
By 6AM, I was in pieces (feet and hips killing, cold, incredibly tired, hungry, absolutely shattered).
I'm already trying to organise another one, but with some friends this time!!

Saw some colour in the clouds on the ways home tonight stopped the car and took a couple of shots. A sort of cloud rainbow?
When will I learn to check the camera settings before shooting?

I'm planning on roaming London at night, too. I'm new to photography so can I ask you some questions?
1.) Did you use any filters?
2.) I presume you used a tripod, given some of your shutter speeds?
3.) How much post processing have you done on the above photos?
...so.....what are your preferences for printing your images?
Gloss or Matte?
I'm about to start printing some of my images in matte because I've read that they tend to look better when framed, although at a small compromise of reduced contrast.

What camera did you use for them there photos?
Under the Bridge #1 - (Millennium Bridge)
Under the Bridge #2 - (Not sure which one but on the River Thames)
Under the Bridge #3 - (Newbury Kennett & Avon canal)
Canon 70D
I like the Millennium Bridge shot;
.....and no hint of a ‘wobble’!
Orion came as something of a surprise, since i wasn't particularly aware of any stars at the time - swamped by the street lighting, no doubt.
..... forgot to add;... my son is just back from a 3-week tour of the western US and before he went I asked him to take plenty pics.
He’s far from enthusiastic about photography to be fair, but he came back with 1200+ shots!;.....all taken on an Apple i-phone.
I’m still wading my way through them;......the ones he’ll let me see that is.
.......I assume the local fishermen aren’t overly keen on these guys!
Pic taken 31.5.15 on Apple i-phone.
All great photos. imo, the middle one is an absolute beaut.
That’s a wonderful picture...love the sky;
..... the guy in the foreground looks well dodgy though.
P.S. just had a whizz thru some of your other stuff on flikr; it’s mightily impressive ....you’ll need to post a few ‘tips’ !
...you’re obviously not using an Apple i-phone.

Nice - yes, after looking at some of your pics, I'm intrigued to know what camera/lens you use and how much post processing you use?
Brilliant shots there with such great detail
Wow that is beautifully taken .

Tower Bridge with no traffic
City Hall - morning 'blue hour'
London Eye reflection
Big Ben looking all moody
I like those; the London-eye is really good, as is Big Ben;
Big Ben almost looks like a Gothic ‘springboard’.
Excellent!
It's the kind of thing I wouldn't mind doing, but I don't think I'd last the whole 10 hours!

....well, it gets you out of the cold, damp UK for a few brief moments.... if nothing else!
P.S. The Hasselblad H4D 200MS was cunningly disguised as an Apple i-phone.

Wonderful!
