Well, not really. It's obviously a mistake. But there can't be many Cineworld tickets around with R18 on them! (R18 is the BBFC's rating for porn DVDs ). http://pic.twitter.com/8m3a9yEb

Anyone else encountered anything like this?

(And yes, "IPrUnMyC" seems to signify something rude to people with dirty minds)

I've seen that film. Can't recall any sex in it though.

    No reservoirs either.

    Or dogs.

I think what that FM was saying was - Cineworld may be using the prefix "R" to indicate re-release on their tickets - not that the R in an R18 rating means re-release.

Probably just a clerical error? Presumably when a new film is released the BBFC certificate is automatically added to the chain's database, but because Reservoir Dogs was released before Cineworld existed it would have to be added manually. Someone clicked the wrong box.

I suspect someone may have misread some information and combined the MPAA "R" rating with the BBFC 18.

Are you saying that Reservoir Dogs wasn't original?

It was certainly different from most other fims around at that time and felt like a breath of fresh air in terms of it's non-linear plotting and dialogue heavy script.

I feel he's referring to the fact that it was ripped off from a Japanese film.
