What a fantastic idea. This is proving to be absolutely brilliant radio and some songs provide real LOL moments e.g. DJ Otzi!!
It is a real trip down memory lane and I have to say Scott has made it more entertaining than just linking the songs. He really has been such a laugh this afternoon with his commentary and comments on the videos and songs. The chart has been trending within the Top 5 on Twitter all day as well and this really is brilliant radio.

Its just simple filler for a dreary Bank Holiday Monday.
I bet Greg won't play the wrong record.Maybe Scotts past it...
Dreary negative comment more like. Don't bother listening to it then. Simple as.
I don't mind simple filler to get thru a dreary Bank Holiday but it didn't help with the above and tanishes it slightly.
Or there was a simple mistake? They did explain that it was the difference of one letter or something simple like that.
On another note..I've been listening since 3 and Scott's done a good job of making it entertaining. Some real good songs being played too. The constant plugging of the videos is starting to getting annoying however I guess it's what they've been told to do.
Yeah, Spillers GrooveJet and Sonique's It Feels So Good apparently came out in 2004 was a couple of notable ones. (Both came out in 2000) Although I dont think they have mentioned the years as the days gone by tho.
Fearne seemed to make it for a TV show that also just happened to be on the radio.
Oh I hate being pedantic but I just thought if your doing a music countdown based on best selling music of the last 13 years, its very basic research to have the artists name, track title and when the track came out. That's all.
13 years??? I thought a millennium was 1000 years
Love the idea of the show. As always, more than what commercial are doing right at this second.
Oh, and welcome back "James Martin 2". Didn't take you long before you'd gone against your promise not to come back to the DS Radio Forum.
I wasn't being pedantic, I just thought it was strange they picked a random month and year like November 2004, and said a few songs (ones that I do know were released earlier than that) came from that month and year, it just seems a bit odd!
Agreed. Its perfect filler for a day like this and despite the little niggles, its kept me going. This would have been up Chris Moyles' street this type of show though.
'OF The Millennium"... so from 2000 until now.
Amazing how much music from the last four years or so has been on - showing how downloads have changed music buying (with songs hanging around for ages and then reappearing in the Top 100).
Talking of which wasn't this Gnarls Barkley song the first number one by downloads only?
EDIT - Greg confirmed the above.
..and started in 1001AD...where's all the big hits of medieval times?
