    Try going into the Store and on the homepage scrolling right over to the left.

    I'd say that's the way they want to distribute major OS upgrades in the future and this is the first time.

    looking at the screenshots it is a massive upgrade for free icon so no one can miss it when it is available really, it simply isnt here yet

    If you type wsreset in the run prompt or whatever it seems to reset the store cache and hey presto 8.1 appears ;)

    3.42GB. I'm up to 63%. The latter half of it seems to be less about downloading the update and more about applying the changes.

    went into run prompt and entered wsreset.

    Went into store and entered windows 8.1 and it didnt show, have i asked for the wrong thing

    Don't search for it, scroll to the left of the Store's front page. If it's there, you can't miss it.
