So you're telling me that Yvonne Strahovski is nekkid in it ?

    Nope.

Aimee Garcia is topless in a sex scene (Actress who plays Jamie).

You decide if that makes you excited or not :p

I'm just gonna call it right now - I think that Hannah somehow knows Dr. Vogel and they are in cahoots to bring down Dexter as part of Hannah's revenge. Dexter confided a lot in Hannah which would explain how Evelyn knew about the code and also it seems odd to me that Hannah seemingly played no part in the opener.

Strong premiere though, I can see this season being very different from the Dexter we've known.

Is there really a need for a whole separate spoiler thread? Spoilers are welcome in mine as long as they and their discussion are spoiler tagged.

If I didn't have a hospital appointment this morning, I'd be sat watching this right now! Looking forward to tonight though :D

Given the opportunity, I'd actually watch on Sky. I can't get any TV services installed where I live though. There's Sky in my new place where I'm moving in at the end of September, though it will be a bit late for Dexter!

Please remember guys: once an episode has aired in the US on Showtime, it is fair game for open discussion here- no matter how big the events were. Please don't be upset if you elect to come in after it has aired on the Sunday night and before you've seen the episode, then discover something you didn't want to know!

All discussion pertaining to theories and speculation is absolutely fine but NO direct spoilers are allowed unless spoiler tagged!

Great episode, a bit slow in parts but enjoyable. Great ending although quite predictable, with her talking to him prior about the BHB etc. but she is thrilling to watch.

I'm in australia so can see on tv just a couple of hours after the states. It looks like those of you in the uk who've seen it didn't get a preview of next week's ep. It basically answers the question of dr vogel and it's a much better direction than I initially feared. I wont post it tho just in case you'd rather not know!

I watched the censored version and must admit, Deb without the swearing just isn't right!! Cracking opener though....7 days is too long to wait!

From what I've been hearing Dr Vogel and Harry go way back, which is why she knows about Harry's Code.

Enjoying last series very much one episode in. Slightly annoyed with myself for watching trailer that followed, and will probably avoid this thread now until after it's all over!

Same. I enjoyed this episode a lot, lot of different emotions among the characters. I love the fact Harrison is growing up and Dexter has to be more careful around him now.

I was blown away by that season opener. I really think this season is going to be the best of them all (yes, even Season 4)

Really good opener, although not sure about the new doctor. Bit fast that shes found out about Dex already? Not sure where this is going. Debs story is great and probably the best bit of the show.

Surely that she has Dexter's drawings from when he was a (rather disturbed) kid would imply she knew of his dark passenger back when she used to work with Matthews and Miami metro. Perhaps she helped Harry design "The Code"?

Surprised by the praise! Was it just my version that had the awfully written exposition-bench scene? And the profoundly stupid shot of the hitman scoping out Deb from his car as a murder investigation went on around him?

I enjoyed it - my version had the season trailer right after it and I am so excited about it!!

However according to wiki the last ep is on on 22nd September and I go on holiday that day so will have to wait 2 weeks to see the last ep!!

I want to know how she knows about Harrys code and Dexter!

So glad they recast Harrison - the twins were terrible :o

The 6 month gap feels like another Dexter cheat. Are we really supposed to believe that LaGuerta's death would be wrapped up so easily without Dexter coming under suspicion? (Yes, because the staff of Miami Metro are utter morons.) Quinn gets another sex story

Not the best opener but I'm intrigued by the new lady.

    Putting out my theory now....
Everyone who's tried to bring Dex down so far hasn't been particularly likeable. Doakes wasn't endearing and neither was LaGuerrta. Although Dexter killing the pair was shocking as a viewer I didn't particularly empathise with it because in the battle between them and Dex I preferred Dex.

The one 'nice' guy throughout has been Angel. He's the one person you wouldn't be rooting for Dexter to kill. I believe Angel is the one who will uncover everything and the one who will bring him down.

As for the Doctor, I'm going with she was some kind of child therapist that Dexter would have been referred to after watching his Mum die. Maybe she uncovered his psychopathic tendencies and told Harry to initiate the code. I'm wondering if Dexter has been some strange neurological experiment run by her.

Dexter didn't kill Doakes or Laguerta
