The fact Chloe Moretz is playing her will make this movie watchable.
Think I will be watching it on DVD from the library..
Not happy that we don't get to see it on the big screen until over a month later. Just hope that they don't butcher it here & give it a lower rating.
The book ending was different to the film if I recall.
I'm hoping that the start in the remake will be as good as the original
I am not happy they pushed Carrie back either. The teaser I seen made it look like it's going to be great. Wish they kept Carrie on the earier release dates instead of pushing it forward. We still don't have a full trailer wish they realase the trailer and Carrie movie now.
They haven't pushed Evil Dead remake foward if they do I won't be surprised if that happens. I would watch Carrie remake instead of Evil Dead remake.
Jodie Foster was considered to play Margaret White.
Ivana Baquero was considered to play Chris Hargensen but Portia Doubleday was cast.
Couldn't agree more, the trailer for carrie looks better than the trailer for evil dead... Although I will probably catch both when they come out at the cinema
Guess what - it looks exactly like the original Carrie......but with smartphones.
Another pointless remake.
True, it plays the story/film out exactly as we've already seen it so whats the point.
I think they worried that's it's average and are trying to "look it's just the same as the one you all love".
If these remakes are designed, as some people suggest, to open the story up to a modern audience....why show all that in the trailer? Even the bucket of blood?
Does the modern audience not like surprises?
I'm giving it a chance, got a good director and cast, especially Carrie and her Mother.
It's a new adaptation of the book, it's suppose to be closer to it according to the people who have made it.
Judging by that trailer it's a remake 100% - it looks carbon copy.
Any director can say "it's a new adaptation" and then throw a couple of extra scenes in and maybe a cut character to validate the statement.
Seen that trailer, seen the film imo
I give new versions of films a chance, especially when they have the director and cast they have.
If the 'remake' turns out rubbish, you still have the original, not going to change the precious first film. Both films are adaptations of the book, obviously there are going to be a lot of similar things.
