    From your link:

    I do not think anyone should worry about being moved because of a malicious fraud report, at least until we have more evidence.

    This governments track record on the sick and disabled speaks for itself. They have taken every opportunity to remove support from vulnerable people just to save money. Not content with that, they changed the rules to make people in the wrag group available for their workfare regime. bearing in mind the number incorrectly placed in this group, many people already fear what the DWP will do next. And with good reason.

    Why do it at all? Why force people on to something that's been delayed and widely criticised for lacking the support of dla for many? Why only do it if reported for possible fraud? It smacks of punishment considering how few will change over now.

    You're getting to 2+2 and coming up with 5 - try not jumping the gun, even if this was to go through the Lib Dems would block it.

    And given the track record so far one might say you are being naive. The scheme is so successful it's been all but abandoned for a while and atos involvement may be in question. Hardly a shining example of an advancement for the most vulnerable in society is it?

    Never said that at all, I'm saying you're jumping to conclusions that have not even happened yet.

    As your colleague is able to work, they are obviously in a better position than someone who genuinely can't work because of a medical condition. It has nothing to do with pride or self pity.

    A lot of people with bad disabilities that have been on DLA for years will lose out. You get more money after a set period of time disabled yet once you switch over its regarded as a new claim and you're back to day 1 with minimum entitlement regardless of how bad your condition is.

    Another thing, was there ever anything done when the DWP claimed they were not giving ATOS set numbers of people they had to fail yet the hidden camera used by the (real) doctor when he worked undercover at ATOS showed the woman training them saying thats was exactly what was happening?

    This government is doing irrepairable damage to this contry (especially to the thousands who have died due to this and their families)

    More utter nonsense.:mad::mad::mad:
    Yes, if you claim your conditions has worsened then it is treated as a new claim. NOTHING NEW, BEEN LIKE THAT FOR DECADES.

    There will be a trigger point ie not a target, where somebody's work might be looked at to see if something wrong. That works both ways.If too many of a HCPs decision are being overturned they might be challenged on it. It's not impossible that some HCPs might be too generous in their decisions, that has to also be addressed. The decisions may all be correct, but you have to have a way of deciding whose decisions to check. That tends to happen with decision making in the rest of the world.

    Yes, that makes a bit more sense. There shouldn't be people on disability related benefits who haven't been assessed for donkeys years.I work with someone confined to a wheelchair, and they are just too proud not to work. The thing I admire about them is that they aren't full of self pity.

    This illustrates why it is dangerous for people who have no understanding of the benefits system to have an opinion.
