Recommended PS3 retail games?

Can anyone recommend me some decent PS3 retail games? Im into all genres except those Modern Warfare, COD games as just dont like them not my thing but anything else im into.

Ive got a interest in the Unchartered series but unsure what else is worth picking up apart from House of the Dead Overkill.

Need to get a decent racing game but from experience I hated Gran Turismo on the PSX just due to the car handling terrible when going off course I guess because its supposed to replicate a real life car driving.

Any ideas?

Racing gamewise imo GT6 is pretty decent or GRID2

God Of War (all 6 games)
Infamous 1 & 2
Max Payne 3
Uncharted 1-3
The Last Of Us
El Shaddai Ascension Of The Metatron

Batman Arkham trilogy
GTA IV: Complete Edition
GTA V
Red Dead Redemption
Ridge Racer 7

Don't forget to check some PSN titles too like:

Is it worth picking up PS3 games I already own on the xbox or would that just be a waste of money?

Only reason I ask is my 360 is plugged in downstairs on a 32 inch tv but its one of those screens with the massive back where as the PS3 is in the bedroom conected to a HD TV.

Just browsing amazon and noticed the assassins Creed & Lego games.

I also bought a ps3 recently. So far I've bought uncharted 1-3, Infamous, Little big planet, Resistance 1-3. Last of Us and Arkham Origins came with the console. I've completed The first Uncharted and Resistance, both were pretty good games. I keep thinking about buying Gran Turismo 5 Academy edition as its cheap but I'm not a great fan of racing games.

I only got FIFA 12 with the console not because I like footie games alough in younger days loved FIFA on the Mega CD & Sensible Soccer but because the guy had COD and hate those games.

If anyone can thing of anything else good let me know alough I see I forgot to order MGS 4

I had to mix and match Amazon, Ebay & Play.com to get the best price for each but altogether the total came to £92.39 & as I made 138 quid for the DVds I sold probably got just over 46 quid spare alough forgot I gotta take 15 off that for the lucha libra game id ordered.

So got just over 31 quid spare so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think the only negative about resistance 1 was that it had no trophys . Anyway all the big hitters have been covered . A few lesser known games I can recommend

MGS4 is awesome but if you haven't played any of the previous games, you're not going to fully appreciate it.

Although to a much lesser extent (than MGS4), it's a similar situation with MGR: Revengeance. One of the characters from MGS4 also appears in Revengeance and some of the codec conversations relate to MGS4 and some characters from the earlier titles.

Well I would start with a PS+ account to start getting the freebies.

Amazing choices be everyone on here and well worth a buy.

Would add darksiders(1&2)to the list as well as
Just Cause2
Tomb Raider collection as well as new tomb raider reboot game.

Just Cause 2 is great, maybe a little dated now
Sleeping Dogs 2
Infamous all 3 parts are great, and will set you up for 2nd Son, should you get a PS4 in the future
Just started Dishonoured, got the full game + DLC on PS+ for £13.99 last week end, enjoying it so far
