  Really, is Allen his 'stage' surname.
  
  Anyway, Allen must be the most popular radio presenter's surname around. Maybe we should compile a list of all the Allens broadcasting in the UK.

  I know Dave Allen was not his real name either. Something like Shamus O'Flaherty or something.
