    Winter's Bone

US rural poverty drama so relentlessly dour I'm surprised the BBC didn't flash up the Samaritans number at set intervals. Luckily the direction and eye for detail are exceptional. As are the cast - who are all so good you forget they're acting. A brilliant and strangely compelling film that never once feels false - and that includes the thin ray of light thankfully let in at the end. Wish I'd seen it earlier. 9/10

The China Syndrome (1979) TV news team, Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas investigate an accident at a nuclear power plant, which is dismissed by the plant's owners as a minor incident but actually came close to catastrophe.

When a worker at the plant (Jack Lemmon) discovers serious breaches of safety he decides to take drastic action.

Excellent movie and Jack Lemmon gives one of his greatest performances as the ordinary guy driven to desperate measures.

    9/10

Back to the Future Part 3 (on now).

I've seen the BTTF films countless times since I was a kid and I love them.

10/10. There are films that are more complex, technically better, thought provoking, but BTTF movies have so much sentimental value to me that they will always be amongst my all time top 5. Love them.

    Final Destination 5

i forgot about the deaths in this one lol

The twist was good at the end, which i also forgot about, or didnt get it..I rented the last copy of it,, and you seem to not take things in first time round, some films need more watches ,and have just bought it from B'buster..Also loved hearing ac/dc at the end ''if you want blood'' :D
wonder if there will be any more films

    Revenge of the Pink Panther.

Love the final scene where Chief Inspector Drefus's eye twitches and then snuffs out in a tiny puff of smoke.

Project X- I found the characters quite loathsome, particularly the guy who organises the party which put me off. It could've been much better than it was 5.5/10

Carriers (2009) - 7/10. Four survivors make their way to a destination during the aftermath of a viral pandemic that's killed 90% of the U.S. population. It's an interesting little SF film. Marketing people richly deserve a slap on wrist for marketing it as a horror zombie film, which Carriers certainly isn't. It's a casual study of dilemma and morals.
