June Whitfield was on Michael Ball's radio show today and she briefly mentioned her role in the upcoming Christmas Special. I've posted the clip here:

    Well as long as she's not seen on someone's TV saying 'Den Watts get outta my pub' or 'Vote Saxon' then I don't mind. :D

    'cos I don't want the unwashed fanboys getting all sweaty under their cagoules! :D:D

    Personally I'm hoping that her appearance relates to
    the Rani's use of a chameleon arch, and that the episode(s) include a crossover thread where we find that she (The Rani) been hidden away as Edina Monsoon's mother all these years, and Edina has been passing the Rani's wardrobe off as her own.

    Sadly, she won't be plugging Sun Life on Doctor Who. Product placement is still banned on the BBC.
