Any HD stand-alone monitor for Dvd playing available?

Hi,
I am considering buying a HD monitor (stand alone - not connected to a computer) to use with an up-scaling dvd player.
I do not want a TV or monitor with a TV tuner inside.
Would something like a Asus VE228HR multimedia HD monitor (or recommend one please) be the sort of thing that could suit me?
