WOAH! Oh my goodness! A Miley Cyrus song? Sung like that!!?? WOW! That performance was definitely my favourite tonight besides Hayley’s and Misha’s . I love it when singers sing their own version of songs and make them better. This was just like Misha’s performance for me – you made the song better! That ‘Yeah’ you went for and then the repeating chorus bit showed off that stunning range you have…you made this song vocally interesting throughout! OMG I can’t believe I’m saying this but I may have the hots for Will now…(oh dear). WAY better than Miley. And as I said as good as I found Hayley and Misha tonight!

Maria AMAZING! You went up on that stage and you showed everyone how pop should be done. This song was catchy, vocally interesting throughout and so different to all the acoustic amazing (sometimes crazy) vocal performances tonight. It was a straightforward song for everyone to enjoy. Maria does have a big voice but I wanted to show that party side of hers that she showed in her Piece of my Heart performance. Please give her a chance all - I’ve got a lot more songs still to come which do expose the amazing soulful side of her a little more while keeping the pop angle I’m coming at her with.

I think when people saw that song choice, they would have been surprised. But i think after hearing you sing, i hope it would have made sense as i thought you sang great so a massive well done, i just hope you get through because i have some ideas for you.

I really wish i could say they 'saved the best till last' but Im really sorry but i didn't like it. I was hoping for a big ballad that showed of your vocals or maybe some old style soul so i was a little underwhelmed.

Will, of all the songs you could've chosen for this theme and you go for Party in the USA? There just seemed to be a complete lack of effort and energy in that performance. I'm not a big fan of your voice as I don't think it's particularly good, technically speaking. I'm rather disappointed tonight, you could've done better.

Maria, I think this is possible one of the better performances of the night. However, the vocals were rather weak, but as it's only Week 1 I guess that could be improved. I do like your sound and I think you have great potential so good luck!

Not gonna lie; when I saw the song choice, I cringed a little. I thought it was going to be too cool and street and immature and ratchet for you. The guy in the video is an amazing singer but does that suit you?

Will was indeed very good. I'm not his mentor but Kuds - isn't the whole point of these games to experiment and see what song best suits each act based on vocals not really on genres? As long as you follow a musical direction like Rick has pointed out to me while matching the tone of the singer - I don't see the problem. Isn't that the fun of the game to see what interesting suitable song choices a mentor has come up with for their acts?
