I suspect it's ran its course as a channel really. Don't hear many people ever talking about games on this channel as most think the are all on BT Sport.
Yes they have to keep it, but its hardly going to drive the subs anymore to the main package. They have to show each team at least once, however maybe expect the rest to be very much anything and everything.
At least Quest and Dave are getting into live sport like ITV4 as well. Freeview is getting a bit better in that sense.
Last Year I believe the Man Utd qualifier was a bonus as without this I counted 12 CL and 14 EL games obviously it was because theyd just announced the channel they havent done that this year and I dont belive future years. Maybe qualifiers arnt allowed to be counted in the compulsory games as Ive said before pure greed.
Shame about West Ham if they get knocked out and is it British or UK teams once ie will they show Dundalk once.

Dundalk aren't in the UK.
Their pledge was to show each UK team at least once.
One thing it has done is renew the desire in club rugby for FTA coverage.
Whether that continues through BT or ITV/BBC is the question.
Suspect it would like BT Showcase last season be a selection of about 9 matches.
However with Discovery handling Olympics and FTA partners as an example.
Or that BT produce content for BBC and ITV (Clare Balding and highlights of a Motorsport), could they retain rights, then sub contract FTA content, producing, sponsoring it?
Say Sat Afternoon match, adverts come up. Tomorrow on BT Sport Saracens v Leicester, sort of thing?
Probably a good idea even for those with BT TV to record Quest as well as ES2 for BSB as the latter has a gap in coverage of the meeting.
Yep, glad I did as not even the Supersports feature race made it to ES2 and they were cutting it fine for the starts of both Superbike races. PQ quality on Quest was (predictably) dreadful in comparison to ES2 HD though. Was tempted to wait for the extended highlights coverage on ES2 HD for the SS feature race.
Wasn't as bad as expected on the pq though for some fast moving sport. Think it worked really well for them, let's hope they got some decent figures. It could maybe tempt the move into more sport or dare I say it a FTA style sports channel.
Football and F1 are deffo gone from FTA tv bit who knows maybe some other sports can have an uprising. As we know though it all comes down to nunbers and sadly sky and BT have the pockets deep enough to bid for things.
Really? What was that being shown live on FTA Ch4 last Sunday afternoon? It did look a bit like the F1 Belgian Grand Prix? The EPG on my PVR claims that next Sunday the Slovakia vs England match is live on FTA ITV1. Must be wrong.

However you are just being argumentative for the sake of it.
You know full well the vast majority of UK club football and F1 are no longer FTA and, as 'clewsy' has said, are unlikely ever to be in the future.
However you are just being argumentative for the sake of it.
I was merely pointing out that what he said isn't true. 'Football and F1 are deffo gone from FTA tv' doesn't fit with the recent FTA TV schedules. If you want to refine his statement to 'UK Club Football' then it is still only half true, Channel 4 have shown lots of live F1 recently, not just the Belgian Grand Prix.

Well F1 live is gone from FTA tv in a love format in the future. So that is correct.
Football like F1 in its whole form is gone. Yes you get the odd event, but not the continued coverage live.

Liking this format and sharing. Would it be possible to do this here on a weekly basis? It is more useful than waiting for the odd BT pickings that are usually rubbish as well.

No listings for Europa League.
Let's hope West Ham remain, or they won't get an outing on Showcase.
Wonder if they still plan on showing all British Clubs at least once, again this year?

I know channels like Bike exist FTA on Freesat, but not everyone will have access to this.
