Just said goodbye to my littlest cat ?
Devastated and in floods of tears, she was only just 5 and a half.
She was off her food yesterday afternoon and by last night she had gone a little bit quiet and lethargic.
Woke up at just past midnight to find her fitting and freezing cold, took her to the emergency vet who said her heartbeat was weak and her blood pressure very low.
I'm gutted, there was no warning, she went downhill so fast.
RIP little Boo x ❤ x

Look after yourself now.
The worst part has been having to break the news to my daughter, she's 2 and a half.
We told her that Boo had gone to the doctors but he couldn't make her better so now she's gone to be a star in the night sky.
She said that the doctor should just put a big plaster on and that would make her better. Heartbreaking.
All the best to you all x
I've spoken to the vet and he thinks it was heart &/or kidney failure.
She was the runt of the litter and had a few health problems, she was asthmatic and was on a special diet to control her weight.
I'm consoling myself with the thought that if we hadn't rescued her she wouldn't have lived anywhere near the 5 years she did.
She needed to be rescued and you did that and have given her 5 years of love and security, you couldn't have given her anything more precious.
I am very sorry for your sudden loss. I know how badly it hurts because I lost my 24 y/o cat in May last year. What helped me was remembering all the good times and the companionship that she offered.
I understand your sadness. I had two MCs of immense character. Both died last year - one from vaccine-related fibrosarcoma aged 8.5 years and the other from feline cardiomyopathy aged just a bit more than 9. The house will never be the same. I also lost a 7 month old MC some years ago - he lacked the clotting agent in his blood and didn't recover from neutering. We were devastated.
We have made the big decision to get a kitten as our house just feels like its missing something since we lost Boo.
Mimi (named by my daughter) is moving in next weekend, she's just coming to the end of her weaning at the moment. We went to meet her last weekend and she is totally adorable.
I just hope our other cat takes to her OK!
