ITV's #ScottandBailey returned with 4.45m/21.5% at 9pm. On BBC1, episode 2 of #OurZoo dropped 770k to 4.30m/20.8%.
Lower start than I'd have liked for Scott & Bailey and it'll need to hold that audience across the run, but considering the difference in the 8pm hour I'm quite impressed that it beat Our Zoo.
Scott & Bailey was always going to be down due to facing Our Zoo on BBC1. I expected Our Zoo to be down as it was facing a returning favourite.
Its seems that everything bar Strictly and Bake-Off and probably Downton is down YOY or performing below expectations.
I'm actually really surprised Our Zoo is below 5m. I thought given the theme of the drama: animals, period, gentle, it would be perfect following Bake-Off. I'm annoyed that more are not watching. I do hope the BBC recommission it.
Can I ask a question? There seems to be agreement that the way people are watching things has changed and that the overall figure (including catchup and everything) is a better measure of whether a show is popular than overnights. Not more important to advertisers, I know, but more of a measure of a show's impact generally. If things are changing so much, does that mean that the effect of one huge rating programme lifting the ratings of the programmes before and after it still work as well? The days of someone watching one channel all night have gone. Is the rating of the programme before something that important any more? It's a real question, I've no idea what the answer is, I would just be interested what you thought.

Returning #ScottandBailey on ITV lost out to #OurZoo at 9pm with 4m/19.2%, but gained further 464.6k/3.2% on +1
Thanks for the confirmation that Our Zoo did win its slot. Just scraping 4million for Scott and Bailey is really bad considering its first series launched to 7.8million. And second series to 6.7m. And third series to 5.8million. Very bad, even taking into account the drama clash.
As for Our Zoo,considering its a new drama without a loyal audience, that is a strong result for it. Hopefully it can continue holding up around that level, probably will given that Scott and Bailey normally drops throughout the run.
As for other ratings, I notice that THe Chase is very low. Below 2million in September! Must be the first time in 3 years that has happened. People seem to be getting a bit bored by it, Pointless is winnning very comfortably now. Also doesnt help that Itv has the weekly ratings reach crisis going on which is limiting all of their ratings.

Oh please Scott and Bailey should have rated higher but let's not act like Our Zoo did any better. 8.3m lead in for OZ against a 3.4m lead in for S&B and still OZ only managed to scrape a few hundred thousand over the 8pm quiz show.
Coronation Street was Wednesday's top-rated soap (September 10) as Kylie Platt struggled to cope, overnight figures show.
6.37m (34.6%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 320k (1.4%) on +1 as Kylie was tempted to take her son Max's ADHD medication as the pressure of her responsibilities mounted up on her.
Emmerdale secured 5.49m (32.7%) at 7pm on ITV and 212k (1.0%) on +1 as Laurel tried to kiss Ashley on the eve of her wedding to Marlon.
Hollyoaks attracted 791k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sonny found himself under pressure, while E4's first look followed with 670k (4.0%) at 7pm and 139k (0.7%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 579k (10.6%) at 1.45pm and 852k (7.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away claimed 187k (3.3%) at 1.15pm, 592k (4.2%) at 6pm and 377k (2.4%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors had 1.13m (20.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
How did last weeks Our Zoo consolidate? As others have said, it seems to be a program that would appeal to families but is possibly scheduled too late for younger viewers to watch live.
Thank you Mike
Dipped quite significantly from it's opener last week
Also a worrying figure for The Chase...as someone earlier said, I cant recall a recent time it went below 2 million. There was a time it was late 3 early 4.
Mind you, it still is a pretty safe bet for ITV, their best rated show in that slot no matter what they try and the Saturday celebrity additions dont perform badly at all against Doctor Who

Fantastic for GBBO again though obviously.
Grantchester is the hit of the Autumn
Let's hope something is a hit or it could be a very long Autumn!
Grantchester hasn't aired yet. Don't count on anything yet.

I thought X Factor would be up this year, but moronic scheduling will lead to it being down.
Bloody hell GBBO just keeps on giving. I bet secretly Simon is face down in a pie
ITV does inc HD, figures are NOT tape checked

Thank you! Not bad at all, highest in a while with 1.93m incl +1. Nice!
Do you know if there are plans to incorporate PC/tablet viewing into weekly BARB ratings yet?

is what I have, not sure if C5 usually change after tape checking
Other than what was release on website earlier this week, not sure if and when this gets incorporated into the standard viewing figures.
If I find anything concrete I'll let you know.

And it ran to time, no TC adjustment
