Despite its implausibility I have found this storyline enjoyable, which is all I want from a soap really.

I do kind of hope Alfie dies, even though I know it won't happen, I just think the aftermath would be a lot more interesting if he did. People thinking he was a hero, with only Mick knowing the truth, and Kat having to deal with her injuries while raising the kids on her own, then finding out the truth about Alfie. It would lead to years worth of storylines for Jessie Wallace to really get stuck into.

I would have to agree with all of those to be fair.

No thanks, I have heard about what goes on in that dungeon and it's not my cup of tea.

I don't know, maybe this will be the kick up the back side Alfie needs to get his act together. It is true that he doesn't seem to work outside the Vic, he defo doesn't work on the market. But I cannot see him going unpunished so it will be a tricky one. Rather than him go to prison maybe he could find out he wasn't covered for the fire? I mean he should not profit from it.

I dislike Alfie because sane Ritchie now over does him too much. That an I. Fed up with the poor me storyline when most of it is his fault. I like the cheeky choppy Alfie. No wonder Kat strays

Thanks for this great thread Harlowe. :)

It's the first time for ages I am watching an episode live.

It should be a firecracker of a show. :D

Eastenders is like the wizard of oz.

    Alfie is Scarecrow (no brain)
    Billy is lion (coward)
    Shirley is Tinman (no heart)
    Glinda is mick (helps everyone)
Oz is king Phlith (need I say more?)

    Who's Dorothy?
