The last day of Joe's radio tour was in Belfast and he stayed on in the city for the start of the Paralympic Flame Festivals
Sponsors Sainsburys had asked Joe to headline the festivals in each of the 3 capitals (Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh) and the final concert at Stoke Mandeville.
We were lucky enough to go to the Edinburgh gig and it was a brilliant night (actually we made a weekend of it in a very post apartment, followed by fish and chips in South Shields on the way home - but that's a whole other story )

Howdy and a very Happy New Year to ye all
Roec and I drove up to the one in Belfast - Joe amazing as usual and he got a fantastic reaction from the crowd and I think it was the first time I saw the 'big intro'!! Oh and it was the first time I videoed a gig:o
HunneyT is on catch up and I'm about to post about the Paralympic Flame Festivals and then we're into TV promo for HWIB - if you know anyone who could help (hint hint)
Your wish is my command YL just gathering some links now ready to post (at the appropriate time )

Happy New Year adayseye!
You did a grand job of videoing - loved watching that and it got me even more excited for the Edinburgh one which were were heading to next and thanks to your helpful tipoff we knew to look out for that big intro and start videoing from that point!
Back to the flashbacks, New Brighton Floral Pavilion next, 11th Aug. I remember this one well as I was the only person in my row not standing when Joe did his fast stuff!
Joe gave us Jukebox Joe, even though he wasn't supposed to and ended up going way over his time
Ah just wanted to mention this concert because it was a special favourite of mine and I particularly loved this Jukebox Joe as well. The whole weekend was fabulous. Great weather, great place, and loads of great Joe fans all filling the surrounding hotels and restaurants. Wonderful memories.

Right just off for a catch up.
Yep - it was great and a huge gang of us ended up outside a rather 'interesting' place till about 3am:D

Yes, it was great and really helpful to know about the fab big intro
Do you know when you're allowed back there? Do you think it was probably the dancing naked on the tables that was the final straw for them?
Hardly - blimmin freezing:p I had to go back to the guesthouse and get what ever I could for folk to put on I think someone ended up wearing a towel:D:D
Some great links the Chart Show TV interview is one of my favourites
And it got so busy from September onwards once the album was released that there's tons of stuff - help!
ok will do my best!!
The day after LW was the MSN acoustic event, for up to 20 lucky fans - and I'll be forever grateful to hunneyt for ensuring that we were there to be part of it (luckily I also have a very understanding boss who allowed me to jump ship that afternoon to hear Joe in Soho ). Joe was in great vocal form and here's the Q&A part from MSN: http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/joe-mcelderry-msn-fan-event-full-length/28bhwq88d
shame it didn't include his full songs though.
I never really liked this song until he sang it at this but his voice sounded so fantastic live. It was stunning.
100% agree LL2 - perfect!! But then Joe has always had that ability to turn songs that I've previously been 'meh' about around to give me a fresh appreciation of them. One of his many gifts
