iPlayer not working on iPad

Whenever I use the BBC iPlayer either via the iPlayer App or via the browser on my iPad it stops working after about 10mins then tries to reboot. It does this successfully maybe once then after a second reboot just gives up playing completely. I've tried removing an reinstalling the App but to no avail. I'm beginning to think the iPlayer and iPad don't like each other!
Anyone else found this problem and is there a solution?
