Brief excerpts:

"...A [DWTS] producer is under LAPD investigation for supplying some of the dancers (and at least one celebrity) with hard drugs... Radar obtained a series of iPhone text messages between the producer and dancers that LAPD narcotics detectives are using in their probe.

”'I got moon rocks, it’s the highest form of Molly. Pure crystal,'” the producer wrote in a December 30, 2013, text message to one of the professional dancers on the show.

"'Hey babe! Can I get some nose candy from you? Need it tomorrow if possible…' an April 9, 2014, text from the pro read."

A discussion of this article, including which pros were on the show when these texts were sent, starts eight posts down at this link:

Someone at that link speculated the October 2 text sounded like Val. However, I'd suggest that would be unlikely.

Val and Janel were rehearsing IN LOS ANGELES on that day, and would have no need to have anything FedEx'd to them. https://twitter.com/ronnycsss878787/status/518606643492159488

However, Cheryl and Antonio were in Louisville, Kentucky. https://twitter.com/ronnycsss878787/status/518606643492159488

Whether there is anything to the story or not, I have a hard time believing the DA's office would even try to get a drug conviction based on a few text messages. I don't think the story is going anywhere.

That's excellent detective work, Dancefan, about Cheryl and Antonio being a couple still in the competition who were in a position where they might need FedEx when that text was sent!

It could be that the texts are only a small part of the investigation. I read somewhere that DWTS recently hired a new producer (perhaps to replace one that had been dismissed?)

But I wouldn't be surprised if the LAPD saw this whole situation (at least on the user side) as "no big deal." When I first read all this, I figured it would be easier to name the few celebrities in Hollywood, including DWTS dancers, who don't use cocaine and other recreational drugs than it would be to name the many who do. I'm mainly curious about who among them might be getting in too deep and might need intervention or rehab.

Hadn't heard about any new producer hire, or anyone leaving. But the credits roll after each episode and I still have the last few shows on TiVo, so we'll be able to tell if any personnel changes were made by the time next season rolls around.

btw here's the correct link for Cheryl and Antonio rehearsing the Samba in Louisville at the time of that supposed text. https://tv.yahoo.com/video/exclusive-cheryl-burke-antonio-sabato-011437350-cbs.html She seems a little, um hyper here?

OMG! What a find!! I've watched Cheryl for years and I've never seen her that spazzed out or whatever you call it. She's also recently lost a lot of weight (and announced leaving the show.) It's certainly not enough to "nail" her as one of the people they're talking about in the radar scoop (if it's true) but I think that's pretty wild footage! I'd imagine Antonio Facelift Sabato is well acquainted with psychotropic medicinals as well ahemmm.

I expected a video where she was just a bit energetic, so I could play devil's advocate and defend her.

That is not what I got. :o
