Absolutely useless piece of shit. One of the worst leaders in the French Republics history. Napoleon would be rolling in his grave that this bastard is leading the French people right now.

Paris, Charlie Hebdo and Nice attacks, he should hang his head in shame and resign right now. No leadership at all and allows those French Muslim ghettos to exist. Get rid of them you absolute idiot.

Well he's going next year either way. Isn't he last in the polls?

Whilst you are absolutely correct that many of France's terrorist problems stem from the poverty stricken ghettos, they have been festering long before Hollande took power. I'm not sure its right to place all the blame on his shoulders.

They do need dealing with, but this is clearly not a simple matter. What do you suggest?

The French socialist leader hired a personal hairdresser and paid them 95,000 Euros a week.
Being French he is more entitled than most to be called a champagne socialist...

It appears so as Hollande is well behind in the polls, the front runner is Juppe.

€9,500 a month. Still scandalous but at least try and get a basic grip of the facts.

Wow, that amount keeps going up each time it's mentioned. Is this like Chinese whispers?

The person who should hang their head in shame is you. At a time of crisis and enormous suffering in France the last thing they and their leader want are crass, insensitive, foul and disgraceful comments from an ill-informed spectator like yourself. We should offer our condolences and whatever support we can to the French. Terrorism knows no boundaries and can strike anywhere. The challenge of dealing with it and its consequences are a massive task for all national leaders regardless of their poliics. Comments such as yours serve only to inflame an already explosive situation. If you can't contribute something supportive just shut up and get your facts right.. The French banlieus have existed as long as ghettos have in many other cities in many countries.

See that bit there (BIB) that's all the excuse you need to go on a killing spree.

So what do we do about these 'French Muslim ghettos' then? What is your solution?

(I didn't see any excuses in the post you refer to either, by the way).

Ah you're one of those people who makes up things in their head and then gets annoyed at them.

At no point was there any suggestion this was an excuse for what happened. But why ignore that fact that the majority (all?) of French home grown terrorists are former criminals from poverty stricken areas. These are clearly areas where radicalisation is a problem and one that should be dealt with.

I notice that not of the "excuses excuses" brigade offer any solutions.

SKY reporting "quite noticeable booing" of Hollande's cavalcade as it travelled down to site of attack - a lot of people came out into the streets apparently.

Based on the latest polling Holland will only get 13.5 per cent - woeful.

The run off will almost certainly be between Juppe and Le Pen - with Juppe winning.

He didn't stay there very long.

We should not let terrorists decide who our leaders are

Now, now, we all know that is a load of nonsense. Hollande's personal hairdresser was only paid €95,000 a year, which is about average for a personal hairdresser in France. I know that when I go to France on holiday I only pay my personal hairdresser €2000 per week, which is pro rata about the same.

And besides, who wants to go back to the bad old pre-Revolutionary days when only the King had his own personal hairdresser? (OK, he was cruelly put out of a job on the afternoon of 30 January 1793, after which day the King had neither hair to cut nor money to pay him with).

Mind you, there is no information about what M. Hollande's personal hairdresser was paying his own personal hairdresser. A lot less, you may be sure of that!

He clearly has lost a grip on the situation, but if he leaves office, that would only benefit the attackers, there is an election next year, I think Front National will do well.

I actually think it must be a complete and utter nightmare for the French security and Hollande too. We are a teeny bit smug in how superior our security is etc. etc. but - France is a much larger country and more spread out - I'm sure they foil a lot of potential attacks but unfortunately it really doesn't take too much for a fanatic to hit lucky now and again.

I'm not sure really what Hollande is supposed to do.

I see this morning that La Monde is demanding that Hollande orders the rounding up of any Islamic/ISIS sympathisers , intern them and then deports them back to their country of origin.

I have to say I have a certain amount of sympathy for this action.

When I see the pic of that child with her doll lying beside her covered dead body I would do more than round them up, basta^ds

I don't have a problem with that, I hope they do it here. Why are these people still here, we must be mad to allow them to remain.
