Show Me The Telly got 1.4m on Monday, so it's showing a steep drop already.

Meanwhile The Wright Stuff (with Madeley in the chair) had 300,000.

    Thanks Bushmills.

How did Pressure Pad, Peter Andre's 60 Minute Makeover and Refugees of the Lost Rainforest on BBC4 do yesterday.

And didn't series 1 episode 1 have a higher overnight?

    Yep -

    Series 1 Episode 1 - 6.16m overnight; 7.03m consolidated (0.87m increase)

    Series 2 Episode 1 - 5.97m overnight; 7.42m consolidated (1.45m increase)

If the series 2 timeshifting keeps up it could get an 8m rating before the end of the series.

So ITV drop an episode of Im A Celeb which rates at 10 million for some Football that rates at 3.4 million.

Alternatively, ITV drop the usual Tuesday rubbish they show forty weeks of the year which rates at 2 million or less for some football that rates at 3.4 million.

I think that means it's now the most timeshifted episode of TV ever in this country.

Whilst this may well be true, I'm not sure we can say definitely given that we do not get live numbers all year round.

I read somewhere (The Sun, I think) this week that the producer of Tango has said that the series was offered to itv and they turned it down because they didn't want to do a drama about old people.

Argh, that totally sums up what's wrong with ITV's drama strategy of late IMO.

Well they did have Broadchurch and commissioned the phenomenon that is Downton. It's not all bad at ITV. Far from it.

And the series is probably a bigger hit on BBC1 than it ever would have been on ITV.

everything that is successful has been turned down by someone, it's the nature or commissioning.

The Escape Artist despite not being very good IMO did not do too badly in the Officials.

    Ep1 6.19m
    Ep2 5.32m
    Ep3 5.64m

Average 5.72m - I am sure BBC would be happy with that.

David Tennant has had a blazing year - Broadchurch and the DW anniversary special have been smash hits, and Escape Artist was as you say a good ratings performer in the end. Only the Politician's Husband could be regarded as a ratings disappointment for him in 2013.

Good rating for EastEnders last night. I thought Emmerdale and EastEnders would be closer in the ratings for a while longer, but EastEnders seems to have picked up momentum again pretty quickly. A pretty good repeat figure for it on BBC3 too.

Impressive for Last Tango to build on its premiere audience from last week.

I think you have to say it has been a great year for David Tennant and Ant & Dec in terms of programme performances.

When was the last time EastEnders got 600k for a BBC repeat? Does anybody know?

    Channel 5 at Christmas:
    - Gaga's Muppets special (new).
    - Michael Buble's Christmas special (new, I think).
    - Michael Jackson's This Is It film (UK network premiere?).
    - Most Shocking Celeb Moments 2013 (new).
    - Home Alone 4.

    Lots of good programmes/films there.
Is this Channel 5's best Christmas line-up?

CBB 2014 starts on January 2nd/3rd with the "biggest twist ever" (again).

For £9.99 you can get a years subscription. Currently it takes us to close of business on the 20th December for the main channels. It's worth it. Come next Wednesday you'll see the entire Christmas schedules before the magazines reveal them.

I just get premium for £2.99 a year, schedules go up to 20th, or 26th for some radio stations now. Don't know what you get for the extra 7 quid but I wouldn't bother with that personally!
