Gas fitter/plumber question

Mrs Jafsie wants a gas fire that looks like a real coal fire problem is every one of the inset fires of that type I've looked at has piezo ignition and my experience of these is that they very seldom work properly.

I've just thrown our gas fire in the back garden because the ignition doesn't work and the hallway heater doesn't work either, fortunately we have central heating.

Question is, can these inset fires be supplied with battery ignition and if so which ones? I've searched but cant find one.:(
