Threads back around those times seemed (may be the benefit of rose-coloured specs) to be more of a linked and meaningful conversation. Nowadays, many seem just like a long list of one offs, with few actually really hearing or responding to the points others have made. Bring back the good old Noughties - days of courtesy, respect, with the streets safe to walk at night...er
If you have a look in the URL of a members profile, they have a user ID number. The earliest user ID, user #2, registered in 2000. Strangely, it won't let me find user #1. My number is 567755.
You can't find member #1 because it has been deleted, whoever it was.
I remember in the early days after I joined the poster with the biggest post count had about 3000 posts*.............and that seemed like an enormous number !
In those days you could click on the member list and rearrange it to list members by post count
Within a few months of joining I was in the top ten and stayed there for a couple of years........with 1 or 2 thousand posts........:o
* I think it was mesostim, who still posts occasionally !

I remember you telling us that once before, I also remember when I didn't think it would be possible for me to get more than 3000 posts

Click on your name, and at the very top of your page it will give you your number in the http://forums bit.
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/member.php?u=374949
just click on your username and it will appear in the URL bar.......
mine...........http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/member.php?u=14665
Click on a person's username to get their profile page. In the URL/address bar, it should be on the end, like u=2.
