I have to admit I don't find older men attractive at all. But I think Patrick Mower seems to have looked after himself.
The storyline is ridiculous, women never pay for male escorts, especially for sex. This market is non existant but plenty of people make a lot of money pretending it is.
Emmerdale has upped business for scam male escort sites hoping to dupe gullible and naive blokes hoping to earn loads doing their favourite thing.
The GBP knows so little about this sort of thing though they can easily be conned into thinking women pay men for sex.
But the one thing i found ridiculous was 'Hunters' first 'customer'! As if she would ever need to pay for 'extra's' :rolleyes:

That's a bit naive, women do pay men for sex just like men do. The stories I have read have all been by religious women who have waited to find a partner and before they know it they're older and wish to give into their needs.
The whole scenario seems ridiculous, though The whole idea that these high flying women would pay for escorts to 'business meetings,' as he told Rishi it was yesterday. Who takes a date to a meeting? The first story was a bit more beleivable - that she wanted a date for a posh do, but when she turned out to be a very attractive fortysomething it seemed incredible that she couldn't get a date or if she was paying (presumably a lot of money) that frankly she wouldn't choose a younger man. As for the second woman - it was a work's night out FFS. She works with these people every day, they presumably talk to each other and know who's single and who's not then she turns up with a silver tongued laydeez man, who might as well have 'lothario' stamped on his forehead. The two of the wouldn't even be on each other's radars - she'd have someone much more down to earth and he'd want someone much younger and more glamorous. It would be all around the office next day that he was either an escort or a scam artist.
I know it's supposed to be light and humourous, but I don't find it funny at all. Sure, lots of women like older men, I know that, but as regular boyfriends, or partners. Somehow the idea of all of these women paying for Hunter's company is like a crappy seventies sitcom.
This is the one thing I don't like about Emmerdale at the moment - some of the humour is just a bit too broad for me.
I also think Rodney is doing June a massive disservice. She's brim full of common sense and really quite kind. If Rodney can't afford expensive stuff, she won't expect him to. It's his own ego that will take a blow.
Women DO pay for male escorts and yes they pay for sex. I have in fact met a man who is an escort who is hired by women. Women of all ages hire him and he refers to himself as a sex worker. (I saw an anti rape protest held by sex workers and there were male escorts there including the man I spoke to. In the end I stayed and joined in the protest.)
When he was in Callan back in the 70's, he & Ed Woodward used to report to a character called Hunter!
